Weekly Journal: Week 5
Sunday was a free day—no classes, so I just rested. I watched High & Low The Movie, and it was a blast. The fight scenes were intense, and I loved the energy. (High & Low The Movie is about different gangs in a city fighting for control, with intense rivalries, friendships, and action-packed battles.) After that, I spent the rest of the day finishing my homework.
Monday, I had two online classes: Math and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). In Math, we started a new chapter—Recurrence Relations. It’s basically sequences, similar to what I learned in SPM Mathematics, but taken a step further with more complex patterns and formulas.
Then, in OOP, we covered Exception Handling—learning about what exceptions are, the different types of errors, try-catch statements, and how to classify exceptions. After classes, I worked on more homework.
Later that night, I played Roblox with my sister. It was chaotic, loud, and full of unexpected moments, but it was a lot of fun nonetheless. I had a really good time with her.
Tuesday was another class-free day since most of them were canceled for Chinese New Year. I spent the whole day completing the second week of this journal. It took more time than I expected, but I powered through. I didn't go out at all and relied entirely on Foodpanda for meals. By the end of the day, I was completely drained.
Wednesday, still no classes. I worked on the "About Me" section of my blog, which, surprisingly, didn’t take as much time as the journal. I’m really happy with how it turned out—it’s exactly what I envisioned. I didn’t go out today either and once again ordered from Foodpanda. This time, I decided to try something new: a burger from Nathan’s Famous at MyTOWN. (Nathan’s Famous is an American fast-food chain known for its hot dogs and burgers.) I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with French fries. The fries came in a massive portion, and by the end of my meal, I was completely full and satisfied.
Thursday wasn’t anything exciting. I spent the entire day working on my assignment, focusing on the reflection section. At this point, I was feeling exhausted—it felt like I had been pushing through nonstop, and it was starting to take a toll on me.
Friday, I had an online class on Data Communication Concepts. We did a tutorial on data link control, specifically Go-Back-N ARQ and Selective Reject. Around 10 AM, I worked on a Math tutorial for the latest chapter.
By noon, I was already tired, but I still walked to the mosque. Even though I wasn’t feeling great, taking that time alone to just walk, reflect, and relax helped me feel a bit more at ease. After returning, I rested for a while.
That night, I decided to avoid ordering from Foodpanda again because it was draining my wallet. So, I walked to a nearby food stall to get dinner. The moment I arrived, I was reminded why I don’t like crowded public places—the loud music, the constant chatter, the clanking of kitchen utensils—it was overstimulating, and my mind felt cluttered. I only stayed for about ten minutes, just long enough to order takeout. When I got back home, out of nowhere, I ended up with diarrhea. It kept me up until 2 AM—definitely not the way I wanted to end my day.
Saturday, since I didn’t eat the food I bought the night before, I just heated it up for breakfast. The rest of the day was uneventful—I simply focused on completing the last part of this assignment.
This was the final week of my journal, and honestly, it wasn’t the most exciting one. Most of my time was spent working on this assignment, which took way more effort than it should have. I’m really tired at this point. Ever since the end of Week 3, things haven’t been easy, but I’m trying my best to stay positive and push through. This week was supposed to be a relaxing break since it’s a holiday, but life had other plans. Still, that’s okay—I’ll just keep going.
