Weekly Journal: Week 4

Sunday was a slow and uneventful day since there were no classes. I didn’t do much, but my girlfriend called, and we had a long conversation. Talking to her made me feel a lot better, which turned out to be the highlight of my day. Other than that, it was just a simple, laid-back filler day.

Monday started with math class, where we continued learning about arguments and worked on truth tables. In OOP class, we did a lot of exercises involving passing and returning arrays of objects to methods and manipulating them. It was a productive day, but unfortunately, I struggled to sleep at night because of a stuffed nose. I tossed and turned until 3 AM, feeling miserable, but thankfully, it cleared up a bit, and I managed to get some rest.

Tuesday had no morning classes, and all my lessons were online. I was feeling drained due to some personal issues, so I ended up mindlessly scrolling through social media most of the day. I didn’t really have the energy to do much else. Later in the evening, I decided to try cooking a simple fried rice, but it turned out to be a complete disaster. I made the mistake of adding oyster sauce, thinking it would enhance the flavor, but it ruined the whole dish. It tasted so bad that I had no choice but to throw it all away. Definitely a learning experience.

Wednesday started with English class in the morning, but I arrived a bit late since I overslept. We learned about writing essays using proper guidelines, which was helpful. After class, two of my friends and I decided to go to MyTOWN because one of them wanted to check out some shirts. We visited a store I had been to before that had a great selection of clothes for both men and women.

After browsing for a while, we walked around the mall just to kill time before heading back home around 3 PM. In the evening, I made some progress on my blog assignment, finally completing the first week's section.

Thursday was rough—I woke up feeling unwell, so I decided to skip my classes. Since I was stuck at home, I used the time to work on my blog assignment and made some decent progress. Other than that, I mostly rested, hoping to feel better soon.

Friday was more of the same. I still wasn’t feeling great, so I stayed home again, only managing to do a bit of work here and there. At noon, I walked to the mosque for Jummah prayer, but by the time I got back, I felt completely exhausted. The rest of the day—and the weekend—was spent resting and watching YouTube, just trying to recover.

Saturday, I started the day by going to a nearby laundromat since I didn’t have the energy to wash my clothes myself. The walk there was fine, but by the time I headed back home, the weather had gotten really hot, which drained me completely. I felt exhausted, so I decided to rest for the rest of the afternoon.

In the evening, I watched a new anime called Sakamoto Days. The story follows Taro Sakamoto, a legendary hitman who was once feared throughout the underworld. However, after falling in love, he left that life behind to become a devoted husband, father, and convenience store owner. Despite his peaceful retirement, his past eventually catches up with him, forcing him to defend his family and his new way of life while balancing his duties as an everyday store owner. The anime blends comedy, action, and slice-of-life moments in a really entertaining way. It was a fun watch and a nice way to end the day.

Week Summary:

This week was a mix of ups and downs, with moments of productivity, exhaustion, and some entertainment to balance it all out. I had some challenging days, struggling with sickness and personal stress, which made it hard to focus. My studies continued with math, OOP, and English lessons, while I also worked on my blog assignment whenever I had the energy.

There were some highlights, like visiting MyTOWN with friends, exploring Kinokuniya at KLCC, and watching Sakamoto Days. On the downside, I had to deal with a failed cooking attempt, a stuffed nose that kept me up at night, and missing classes due to feeling unwell.

Overall, it wasn’t the best week, but I still got some things done, and hopefully, next week will be better.
